Privacy Policy

1. The Uyirmei Mobile App

Uyirmei is designed to operate completely on your device. The app:

  • Requires zero system permissions (no camera, contacts, location, storage, or network permissions).
  • Does not create user accounts or collect personal credentials.
  • Does not include advertising networks, analytics frameworks, crash reporters, or tracking SDKs.
  • Does not make network connections during normal application operation.

Your learning progress (mastered letters and Leitner spaced repetition boxes) and application preferences (selected romanisation scheme and theme) are saved exclusively in local application storage on your device.

Backup: On Android devices, if you have enabled system-level backup (Android Auto Backup), your preference files may be encrypted and stored in your private Google Drive backup storage as part of your operating system's device restoration features. You can disable this in your Android system backup settings. On iOS, the application provides an official PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy manifest declaring zero tracking and zero data collection.

2. The Website (uyirmei.app)

The marketing website at https://uyirmei.app is a static site hosted on Cloudflare Pages.

  • The site uses no tracking cookies and no client-side tracking or analytics scripts.
  • All fonts and styling are supplied by your operating system's built-in fonts; no third-party font libraries are fetched.
  • Cloudflare processes web requests to serve static files securely over HTTPS, and may record standard web server logs (such as IP addresses and browser user-agent headers) strictly for operational security and DDoS protection.

3. Form Submissions

The website provides two optional forms, both handled directly via secure Google Forms:

  • Internal Test Sign-Up (#join): When you submit your Google account email address, it is stored in a private Google Sheet accessible solely by Matthias Männich. The address is used exclusively to add your account to the Google Play Console internal testing track so you can install the app. It is never sold, shared, or used for unsolicited marketing.
  • Contact Form (#contact): When you send a message, your note and optional reply email are recorded in a private Google Form responses sheet so the author can review your feedback and reply.

You may request the removal of your email from the testing list or contact records at any time by sending a note through the contact form.
